Basketball Spotlight Speaks Out:

Yesterday Alex Sanger “Stallions” elementary ladies basketball team and the Casa View elementary provided basketball fans with a Dallas best NELC Zone 1 Inter-Elementary Schools that is sure to be remembered for years down the road.


Ladies Sanger “Stallions won 21 – 9 ladies basketball game playing organized and aggressive leaded by fearless players. “Every one was happy at school, it was like a “Sanger Stallions’ stampede,” said Sharon Lee a guest who enjoyed watching the game, “The Stallion girls played this time with more enthusiasm, retained more the ball and did not committed many fouls.

We noticed that the players passed the ball to their strikers in many occasions instead dribbling forward from the back. The Stallions loosed the first 2 a way games against Charles Gill and Highland Meadows. In this game, the team returned with different tactics and winning attitude.

The coach Ms. Harris remained composed and gentle communicating positive reinforcing to her players. Casa View coach was different, he was loud and exited. His players revealed confusion, and appealed to the discourteous game. The Stallions had more accuracy and scored in more offensive strikes.

8 Years Old K. Ayllon Comments About A. S. Elementary “Stallions” Basketball Team:

I am really enjoying been part of the ladies “Stallions” basketball team. This is my first year with the team, and my first time playing a competitive inter-schools tournament Dallas NELC Zone1 at Alex Sanger.

I meet wonderful girls and the best coaches in Dallas city. I think playing competitive youth sports is a great way to get involved as model-student and make a difference at Alex Sanger Elementary community.

Basketball is among the most popular youth sports today in my school. Coach Ms. Harris and Mr. Booker taught us different drills and tactics so we could play organized.

Ms. Harris said: “you guys need above 70’s. grades so you could play in the team. I have no problem getting good grades, because I love school, and I think it is important about learning each day. I play other sports such as: golf and swimming; and I know that practice make us better players.

I appreciate the encouragement and strong basketball fundamentals lessons taught by our coaches. As well the teachings about good sportsmanship at practice and when we play.

Coach Harris is a sensitive teacher and coach, she likes when we play organized. Coach Booker is in charge of the men basketball team, usually we practice together; and we benefit because men are a little tougher than us.

We need more motivation, and practice, and running an efficient practice will help improve players' skills and ultimately help our team win more games.

Why Learning Math and Programming is Important for Youth

I will talk about how about learning Programming and the importance of practicing Mathematics.

This Summer I went to SMU Science Camp and to El Centro College Technology Module for youth. Today I learned about programming using Alice system computer based software to develop Computer Programs. This educational software showed to program 3D Robotic Animation by using 3D figures and how to drag boxes into the main box I liked the part when I made the figure move.

I’ve learned that Alice is a program for building virtual words populated 3D objects. I’ve worked with different areas such as: World window, the Object Tree, the details area, editors area, and events. There are about 40 steps for how to use programming Alice interface.

Learning mathematics is easy and important for children so we clould apply in different fields such as: calculating Income Taxes,purchasing toys, and in the future will help us to get a challenging jobs using their potential math skills. Also, the practice of Math will make you smarter, faster, and more receptive to learn new skills. I think, learning subjects such as: math, writing, multiplication is fun and should increase our critical thinking.

Programming and Math are very important to children because they will become smarter all around the world or if they don’t go to school, and take time to study, or learn computer science they would not become skilled at complex thinking. I think is better studying instead not doing anything and playing video games.

Therefore, learning math thus programming is fun and easy instead of playing video games, watching T.V. , those activities they make you crazy and math makes you gentle, polite, smart. I like math & programming because it helps you think better.
